90 Day Report

What is a 90-Day Report?

The 90-Day Report was created by the Thai government for long-term visas in Thailand for security purposes.  In short, anyone living in Chiang Mai with a long-term Thai Visa such as, an ED Visa or Marriage Visa that lasts longer than 90 days, must report to Chiang Mai Immigration every 90 days to verify their address.

The process is so simple and quick that there is even a drive-through at Chiang Mai Immigration.  The process can also be completed online, by mail, or using a Visa Service in Chiang Mai.

When should I Submit My 90-Day Report?

The 90-Day Report should be completed no more than (15) days before the 90th Day in the Kingdom and no later than (7) days after.  It isn’t necessary if you have recently extended your Thai Visa at Chiang Mai Immigration, even if it totals more than 90 days.  Your extension is a de facto report.  It is only for long-term visa holders that have not visited the immigration office in the last 90 days.
